ART 301: Professional Practices in Visual Arts (Required for Junior-level Art Department Majors—Offered in Spring)
This course will require students to examine ethical decision making within the visual art field. Assigned readings, written responses, and peer-led conversations will facilitate student’s preparation for professional practice. Additionally, the course curriculum will provide insight and instruction on methods of portfolio development needed for those pursuing a career in Graphic Design and Studio Art.

 

ART 487: Senior Capstone (Required for Senior-level Art Department Majors—Offered in Fall) In this course Art Department majors are required to develop a unique project that highlights the skills they have learned within their discipline. The culminating project will be completed by the end of the semester, but will be displayed in the Spring in an exhibition. Each student chooses the media and focus of work, while the number of works will be determined by student and instruc­tor.
